Tim Finn Tim Finn, owner. Tim has taught animation and comics at Lesley Art + Design, drawn autobiographical comics, podcasts about G.I. Joe comics, executive produces video essays on television and film, and is writing the definitive coffee table art-and-history book on G.I. Joe.


Jesse Farrell Jesse Farrell, manager – Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays. With the store since its founding in January 2008, Jesse is also a sculptor specializing in small-scale figural work. Many of his comics-inspired pieces are on display at Hub.

Dave McCarthy Dave McCarthy – Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. An aficionado of Marvel Comics’ Silver Age, Dave has a background in acting, writing, and theatre. With the blessing of Clive Barker, he successfully adapted and directed Barker’s short story “Dread” as a stage play here in Somerville.

Michael Talbot – Saturdays and Sundays. When he isn’t teaching Animation at Lesley Art + Design, Michael can be found working on his graphic novel idea, illustrating children’s books or simply dancing the night away.


Employee Emeritus — Juliet Kahn – Juliet worked at Hub from 2016 to 2021. As a journalist and reviewer, Juliet writes about comics for Amazing Stories, The Comics Journal, Comics Alliance, and Boing Boing. Juliet’s YA graphic novel, Fabiola and Ylini, is making the journey from script to illustrated book.

Jack Turnbull Employee Emeritus — Jack Turnbull – Jack was with Hub from 2011 to 2018 and has moved onto a wonderful teaching job.
