JOE MONTHLY SERIES! And just three days after this dynamic and oversized premiere issue goes on-sale, TOM REILLY will sign at Hub Comics! That’s Saturday, November 16th from Noon to 4pm! Discuss an intriguing book in a relaxed atmosphere at the next meeting of the HUB COMICS BOOK CLHUB! We’ll talk both form and content regarding our pick-of-the-month, Vaughan and Martin’s Doctor Strange: The Oath. And it’s 10% off now ‘til BOOK CLHUB! Readers of all experience levels are welcome!
This is our first super-hero selection, and you need no familiarity with the character of Doctor Strange or the larger Marvel Universe to appreciate this work. You don’t even have to buy a copy from Hub Comics! Admission is free, but bringing a copy is required.
About the author and illustrator: Brian K. Vaughan is the writer of such popular comic book series as Y: The Last Man, Ex Machina, Runaways, Saga, Paper Girls, and the standalone graphic novel Pride of Baghdad. Vaughan also variously wrote, story edited, and showran the television series Lost and Under the Dome. Spanish artist Marcos Martin has drawn Batgirl: Year One, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Daredevil. He previously collaborated with Vaughan on The Private Eye, and has recently wrapped up the graphic novel trilogy Friday with writer Ed Brubaker.
