Free Comic Book Day 2026 – May 2nd!

The annual “national holiday” for comic book stores returns! Saturday, May 2nd, starting at our normal opening time of 10am, it’s FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! We’ll have free comics for readers of all ages — while supplies last! Whether you’re a weekly regular who’s been to Hub Comics 52 times since last FCBD, an occasional browser, or you’ve never set foot to a comic book store, Saturday, May 2nd is a great day to visit Hub, see what’s new, ask questions, get recommendations, and walk out with some great comics!

Dozens of publishers create, just for Free Comic Book Day, special comics for shops to give away! We’ll have a clearly demarcated section with all the FCBD issues! It’s also Somerville Open Studios all that weekend, so there’s another great reason to get out of your house or apartment!

(If you follow comics industry news you may know that some comics that day will be branded “Free Comic Book Day” and others will have a “Comics Giveaway Day” label. It’s a division between publishers, but it’s all the same to us.)
