We and several other Union Square businesses are once again taking part in Lit Crawl Boston, and the 2025 edition brings two great book events to Hub Comics!

6pm panel — Comics For Troubled Times — Comics aren’t just capes and punchlines. Sometimes they get real. Join authors Michael Anthony (Just Another Meat-Eating Dirtbag) and Damian Alexander (Other Boys) as they dig into how comics take on the big stuff: identity, love, grief, the awkward, the ugly, the beautiful, and everything in between. It’s raw, it’s honest.. and just like life, still kind of funny.

7pm competition — Comic Artists Sharpie Showdown — Two cartoonists, two easels, two markers — and only one will win! The Boston Comic Arts Foundation presents an ultimate Comics Draw-Off with local cartoonists Betsey Swardlick and Andy Ristaino, who will take their pens to new creative heights in this interactive competition. Hosted by Braden Lamb.
