It’s a difficult time, readers.
-We are distressed by the news and the unequal treatment of African American citizens at the hands of law enforcement. We recognize that inequality is prevalent at all levels of society and that hate groups and racial extremists are working to highlight and intensify these differences. Therefore, Hub Comics will be donating half of all its profits for the month of June to the Southern Poverty Law Center, the Alabama-based non-profit organization that fights hate and seeks justice.
-Inside the shop we’ve long tried to spotlight comics and graphic novels by a range of creators and featuring characters that reflect the diversity of the world we live in. As our renovation proceeds in the coming months and we figure out what “open for business” means, we will work harder to highlight that diversity. We take seriously our slogan, “Comics For Everyone.”
We are not open today, Wednesday the 3rd, but we will have phone hours Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, Noon to 5pm. Call us at (617) 718-0987 to buy comics by phone for curbside pickup, shipping by US Priority Mail, or Sunday delivery.
