Hub Comics is pleased to be an official stop on Jason Lutes’s Berlin tour, presenting the graphic novel he’s been at work on for over twenty years. Berlin tells the story of the metropolis’s citizens before the fall of the Weimar Republic, as fascism is on the rise throughout the world. Alexander Chee says Berlin is “at once a story about artists trying to make art during the rise of the Nazis in Germany, and a bildungsroman of the first order.”
Lutes, who teaches comics at the Center for Cartoon Studies in Vermont, will present a slideshow on his work and sign copies of his book at Hub Comics (19 Bow St in Somerville’s Union Square) on Saturday, October 13th starting at 5pm.
Don’t miss out on your chance to learn about and own this significant new collection from Drawn & Quarterly, which Amor Towles calls “a truly masterful narrative,” and one of Publishers Weekly‘s most anticipated books of fall. Presented in conjunction with D&Q.
